Hosting is available to both 3f Project
2006 and 3f Software Planner 2006.
Using our hosting services is the ideal
choice for companies who do not have a
windows 2000 or 2003 server. Starting at
US$15 monthly per user you and your team
will have access to the system of your
choice 24/7.
You can change from the hosting service to
hosting yourself any time. If you change
from the hosted solution to hosting
yourself we will give you the server
installation file, your database and
uploaded files so that you can setup your
system exactly the same way as it is in
the hosted environment.
Getting started on hosting
Follow the instructions for setting up a 14-day
trial account. Once the 14-day trial is
over pay for
the number of users you need.
Modules
During the free 14-day trial you can
enable any of the the modules to test the
functionality. When the trial is over you
only pay for the modules you want. In
other words, if you do not need the Test
Management module you don't pay for it.
You can however, at any time, enable any
module you want. The cost will be
calculated on a pro-rated basis for the
current billing period and automatically
added to the succeeding month billing.
Each time you pay for your hosted account
you also have the option of "turning off"
modules you no longer need. For instance
if you have used the test management
module in a period, but no longer need it,
then you can, upon renewal, disable it to
avoid any unnecessary payment.
You can, of course, enable it again at a
later point in time.
We call that total flexibility!
Server
3f Project 2006 and 3f Software Planner
2006 are both hosted on a Windows
2003 server, dual Xeon 3.0 GHz processor,
2GB Ram and Raid hard disks.
Database
3f Project 2006 and 3f Software Planner
2006 both uses Microsoft SQL
server as database for all packages
regardless if you have a one user or 50
user account.
Data center
3f Project 2006 and 3f Software Planner
2006 is hosted on a managed
secure server located in a US data center.

Encryption
When you log into our hosted server your
user name and password is always encrypted
using 128-bit SSL. (https://). In addition
to this you also have the option to
encrypt the entire session using 128-bit
SSL. Doing so ensures that all the data
you send and receive from the server is
encrypted making it virtually* impossible
to decrypt.
Billing and Payment
When the free 14-day trial or the current
billing period is finished payment is
required for continued usage of the
service. The new billing period starts on
the day following the 14-day trail or
current billing period whichever applies.
If monthly subscription is choose and the
trial or billing period ends on July 7,
2005 at 24:00 hrs. the subsequent billing
period starts on the following day, July
8, 2005 at 0:00 hrs. and ends on August 8,
2005 at 24:00 hrs. The time zone you
specified when the trial account was setup
is used to determine cut off date and
time. If no payment has been rendered
before 24:00 hrs. on the last day of the
trial or billing period we reserve the
right to suspend access to the account
pending payment. The account will remain
suspended until the payment has been
rendered.
Renewal
To renew your subscription you must log
into
Account Management. Once logged in you
are presented with an overview outlining
additional charges (if any) you have
incurred during the current billing
period. Additional charges are incurred
when new modules or additional user logins
are added in the middle of a billing
period. (Such extra charges are paid in
the succeeding billing period) You also
have an overview outlining when the next
billing period starts and the charges for
it. (Including extra charges - if any -
due to additions made during the previous
billing period)
Account Changes
You can, at any time, add or remove login
user accounts and modules. This is done
during account renewal process. Any
addition you make are instantaneously
where as removal do not take effect
before the current billing period is over.
Example:
If you currently have a 6 user accounts
with the Gantt Diagram and
Planning +
Approval Management modules and you want
to renew your account 1 week before the
current billing period ends but you only
want 5 user accounts and you no longer
need the Gantt Diagram and Planning
module then the following will happen:
Upon login to
Account Management you specify your
changes before starting the renewal
process. Anything you removed will
continue to be available until the current
billing period is over. In other words,
you will continue to have 6 user accounts
+ the Gantt diagram and Planning module
until 24:00 Hrs on the last day of the
current billing period.
If you add modules or user accounts then
the change is immediate and you will be
billed for the time left in the current
billing period during checkout
* 128-bit SSL is an industry standard used
to transmit data over the Internet in an
encrypted format. While this does make it
very difficult for hackers to decrypt the
information you send and receive over the
Internet it does not guarantee 100% that
your data cannot be compromised.
