If you cannot upload files or create new
projects, the problem here is usually a
user right problem on the folder where
files are uploaded. All files uploaded to
3f Project 2006 are placed in
individual folders found within the
"3fUploadDownload" folder located in
the main installation folder of 3f Project 2006.
Background
information:
For each client
and project, a new folder is created where all files uploaded in the
project are stored. 3f Project 2006 uses a special user account
when it uploads files or creates folders (which happens when a new project
is set up). Normally, the Internet Guest Account user is the one used
(IUSR_Name_of_your_server). The user rights for this user have become
corrupted or changed, hence, new folders cannot be created nor can files
be uploaded.
Resolution
Modify the security of the
"3fUploadDownload folder" folder found in
3f Project 2006 installation
directory and grant the IUSR_Name_of_your_server "Modify" and
"Write" permission.
