Update to 3f
Software
Planner
Server
From time to time
we bring out
updates to the 3f
Software Planner
server.
As a registered
customer you will
receive an email
with information
about the update
as well as a
download link.
There are two
types of updated,
full update and
service packs.
The difference
lies in how
extensive the
update is.
Generally, it
takes 5 min. to
install a service
pack,
where as a full
update can take up
to 20 min. to
install.
Full Update to 3f
Software Planner
Server
Before making a
full update,
please review the
full
update procedure.
Note: As a
registered user
you will receive
the server
download link in
an email.

1. Download
the service
pack, place it
in a folder on
your server
2.
Backup
your current
database
3. Double
click it to
start
installation.
The exe will
automatically
stop the IIS
server during
the update.
The last step
in the update
is updating of
the database.
This will
require you to
enter SA
password for
the database
which is 123
by default.
(You may have
changed that
in the
Database
manager)
The entire
process take
about 3 min.
to do.
