Grouping projects together gives you an
overview of the number of hours gone into
multiple projects that are not otherwise
related to each other. You can setup an unlimited
number of project groups in which you can
include an unlimited number of projects
from any client.
You can even include the same project in
multiple project groups.
The project group report is displayed in a
tree view where the top node is the name
of the project group, below the client or
clients, and below each client the project
itself. Below each project are the
tasks and sub tasks in the project.
To drill down all you have to do is to
click the + on the left side of the
project group, client, project or task.
As can be seen in the image below, the
report summarizes all the important numbers
in the project.
Note: The main project group below
is called All Projects which is the name
chosen for this project group, you can
name the project group anything you like.
Project grouping can be helpful if you are
working on multiple project for the same
client, or if you work for multiple
clients on a major project. You can
probably think of more ways this report
can be helpful for you.
